Birthday Greeting Part 02 - Monkey King

^___^V Yeah!!! Part 2 of my Birthday Greeting Artz ^v^ This time is my friend Ming Kang!!! The concept is quite interesting. Ming Kang > MK > Monkey King. Therefore for his birthday present I have draws a Monkey for him!!! Of course not only his nick look like monkey, his face also look like them O.op!!! Oh Ya His birth date also quite unique, November eleven, which mean one!!! one!!! one!!! one!!! there are four one!!!

These were the Illustration I created for him...There were 3 versions, each represent different side of him.

Last but not least, the Cocky side of him hehe…

Due to my friend like basketball, so I have the Monkey “Playing” the ball. and Since it is Monkey King, how can i miss out that he Wearing a King Costume ^v^

This month thing is finally turn out better… The “Bad Luck” that I have ever since I serve my National Service seem to wear off hehe. Hope the “Good Luck” I have now will continue be there and more good news coming along the way.

Birthday Greeting Part 01 - Shadow

^___^V Yeah!!! As promised, be posting some of the previous interesting work that I have done. This is the work that I have done for my friend Jack last year birthday. But hahaha!!! For this pieces of work didn’t give it to him as I didn’t finished in time >.<

The theme of this illustration is actually drawing him… but… emmm... think draw a bit too “Shua” lao hahaha!!! But who care, as long as my drawing looks nice can already O.op. Kind of like his nick shadow (Don’t know why he call shadow) Kind of cool and easy to have a theme for my drawing, "Dark" and "mystery".

Although didn’t give him the illustration but did manage to give him this t-shirt ^v^V. But emmm... due to time constraint so didn’t do a very good job on that X_x And due to I only print one t-shirt therefore the printing shop cannot give me a very good print. Sorry Jack -.-! I know it’s not a very good gift, promise next present won’t be last minute hehe.

Turtlez Boyz

^___^V Yeah!!! This is the work that I have done quite sometime ago ^.^ Found it interesting and decided to share it with you all.

The story of this illustration is that this “Turtle Boyz” always do stupid thing and end out in stupid situation. The interesting part is that the costume he wearing, like a turtle, only have a “Shell” on him.

There’s still some interesting work that I have found while prepare my portfolio. Will post them out in near future if there's a chance. ^___^v Yeah!!!

NTU Assignment

^___^V Yeah!!! Finally finished my assignment!!! One week of no sleep, no eat and no entertainment is finally over!!! Errr... for the time being ba >.<

Anyway here is some of my work…

Q1. Conceptual and Visual Problem Solving:
Using simple graphic elements, create four composition that serve as visual metaphors for the following words:

Sorrow
Greed
Heavy
Motion

Start with a 3cm x 3cm square of black paper and make four cut. Using all 5 pieces to create an image that represent the word.

Haha I wasted a lot of paper while doing different try out O.op

Here is my second question...

Q3. Narrative and storytelling:

Using a set of images write a story in a maximum of 3 paragraphs.

Using the following Poem:

This bright harvest moon
Keeps me walking all night long
Around the little pond

Haha the story kind of funny right… very different from my usual style.

Actually there is a third question. It is on Drawing and Visualization, have to be done in pen or pencil. Because I going to put in color in Photoshop therefore I don’t post this first.

On that question I screw up in my first version, so have to redo the whole drawing X.x Second drawing due to time constrains haix… all I can say is first one better v.v Very long time didn do sketches already, all these year have been using com to do my work, think have to brush up on my pencil skill.

That week is a very drama week for me. Think I need a screwdriver X.x computer screw, drawing screw even the printing shop screw. The printing shop give me wrong color!!! wrong size!!! worst still it took them 5 hour to let them print all my work -__- and that a record breaker!!!

Now will be trying out new style for my new work. Vector art is enough for me already. Oh Ya!!! be working on my animation too, hope can finish by this year ^___^v Yeah!!!
